Is romance in the future in last season of Warner TV’s ‘The Mentalist’?

The seventh and final season of The Mentalist kicks off this month on Warner TV with this question: After Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) finally confessed his love for California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), will viewers finally see a romance blossoming between them?

The Mentalist follows Jane, a psychic-turned-consultant of the CBI with a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor-sharp observation skills and psychological manipulation. Because Jane was notorious for his blatant lack of protocol and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic, Lisbon openly resisted having him on her team at first, but eventually allowed him join after recognizing his skills.

After leaving the CBI in season six, Jane spent two years off the grid after tracking down and killing his nemesis, Red John, the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter. He returned to Austin, Texas, to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a consultant under a contract made by FBI Agent Dennis Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar), and convinced Lisbon to join him. They worked alongside former CBI Agent Kimball Cho (Tim Kang), FBI analyst Jason Wylie (Joe Adler), and young, ambitious Agent Michelle Vega (Josie Loren) to investigate the murder of an undercover agent.

The sixth season wrapped up with Jane realizing his affection for Lisbon and confessing his feelings for her. Lisbon accepted Jane’s confession, making them partners in both their professional and personal lives.

Will Jane and Lisbon officially announce the start of their romantic relationship or choose to keep it a secret from their colleagues? How would their relationship affect their work in the FBI? Find out in the seventh and last season of The Mentalist, which will premiere on Mar. 30 at 9:50 p.m.

‘Rizzoli & Isles’

Also this month, Warner TV brings the sixth season of Rizzoli & Isles, a chart-busting suspenseful series that has remained as basic cable’s Top 3 series for the past three years. The series stars Angie Harmon as Jane Rizzoli, a tough-as-nails Boston police detective, and Sasha Alexander as Maura Isles, a smart, impeccably dressed medical examiner from a privileged background.

Despite being complete opposites, they share an offbeat chemistry—an authentic friendship and a unique working relationship that has them busting some of Boston’s most notorious criminals.

In the sixth-season premiere, it appears that one of the Boston Police Department’s own has shot an unarmed man on a busy subway platform. The team is tasked to find the real killer and clear the accused detective’s name. Catch the premiere of Rizzoli & Isles Season 6 on Mar. 24 at 9:50 p.m.
