The local entertainment industry is mourning once more.
It is because of popular actor-director Ricky Davao’s death yesterday, May 1, 2025 to still unknown cause.
Ricky’s demise was confirmed by Viva Entertainment through its Facebook page.
“Pahinga ka na (Rest now), Sir Ricky,” wrote the social media arm of the entertainment company.
Ricky, Frederick Charles Caballes Davao in real life, was born on May 30, 1961.
Before his death, Davao was an active movie, stage and television actor.
He was the son of the late actor Charlie Davao and brother of actors Charlon and Maymay Davao.
He also dabbled in TV directing.
Ricky was married to actress and TV host Jackie Lou Blanco and they have three kids, namely Rikki Mae Davao, Kenneth Davao and Arabella Davao.
Ricky and Jackie Lou officially separated in 2023.
No details of Davao’s funeral wake yet.
He was 63.
