Petromax Alfa Romeo unveiled the first-ever hybrid vehicle of the iconic Italian brand in its 115-year history – the Alfa Romeo Junior Hybrid – during a well-attended gathering at its main showroom in Bagumbayan, Quezon City.
Allen Ong, the chief executive officer of Petromax Enterprises, announced the entry of the Alfa Romeo Junior Hybrid that seamlessly blends Alfa Romeo’s signature Italian design, exhilarating performance, and cutting-edge technology into the new energy vehicle world.
“We are proud to introduce the Alfa Romeo Junior Hybrid that is a dynamic and stylish compact SUV which embodies the brand’s iconic heritage while embracing a new era of innovation and accessibility,” Allen Ong said.
He also announced that a special promotion is being offered to the first 10 buyers of the said vehicle. “A special price of P2.8-million is being offered to the first 10 buyers. We have already 5 and that only leaves only 5 slots to avail of the promo,” Allen said.
The Alfa Romeo Junior Hybrid is expected to arrive next month and is pegged for P3.15-million.
The 1.2-liter inline 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine is mated to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that can cranked out a maximum power output of 136 hp while its electric motor has 28 hp. The fuel consumption is approximately 20 kms to a liter. It has a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and is a front-wheel drive.
Among its key features include: Belt-integrated starter generator for quick and smooth engine start/stop; Regenerative braking to recharge the 48-volt battery; Electric boost function for enhanced acceleration; Cylinder deactivation to improve fuel efficiency under light loads
The exterior of the Alfa Romeo Junior Hybrid boasts of a distinctive and athletic design, featuring the iconic Alfa Romeo shield, aggressive lines, and a sporty silhouette that commands attention.
It is also equipped with a suite of advanced technology features such as a state-of-the-art infotainment system, driver-assistance systems, and connectivity options, ensuring a connected and safe driving experience.
