Bosch electrifies future of transportation

Bosch emphasized its commitment to advancing electric vehicle (EV) technology as the Philippines accelerates its journey toward sustainable transportation with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for electric vehicles across all segments at the recent 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit 2024.

Bosch is pioneering technological advancements that enhance the overall EV experience and this was evident in the Bosch Experience Zone that offered attendees an opportunity to explore EV technologies while highlighting the company’s diverse technological expertise across multiple domains.

Martin Knoss, the regional president of Bosch Power Solutions (ASEAN), said: “We are pioneering a new era of mobility in the Philippines, where electrification and software solutions are key to overcoming the unique challenges faced by the country. By leveraging our technology and expertise, we aim to create a sustainable mobility landscape that enhances efficiency while reducing environmental impact.” 

Knoss added that “the shift to electrification requires collaboration among all stakeholders, including manufacturers, policymakers, and consumers, to build the necessary infrastructure and support systems. Our vision is to ensure that electrified mobility is accessible, reliable, and appealing to everyone in the Philippines.”

Bosch has developed Battery in the Cloud (BiTC) – a smart connected solution for improved battery management with its set of services that are available as modules — not only enhances battery performance and lifetime, it also reduces the risk of sudden breakdowns and plays a part in increasing transparency with regard to the condition of the battery. Bosch’s Convenience Charging solution offers smart services to streamline the charging experience, including personalized route planning, accurate range predictions, and seamless payment options.
