Here’s a new production on some interesting and significant aspects and figures in the dark days of the Second World War in the Philippines.

I knew it.

When poet and art teacher Vim Nadera launched the first Performatura in 2015 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), audiences from all walks of life trooped to the venue in earnest. They, most especially the art patrons and students, savored the entertaining values and informational ingredients of the event.

It’s not every day that we encounter a Filipina who has been making waves in other countries to uphold the rights of women and their interests, to promote the Philippines and its arts and culture, to raise the level of consciousness of transnationalism among Filipino migrants in the diaspora.

It’s noteworthy for a stage production to tour nationally, particularly in the Philippines, its theater work because it helps the regions and the grassroots to appreciate the literary meaning and significance of an artistic creation. It also promotes the performing art as a venue to express ideas in crystalizing values in the growth and development of the human condition.
