
With the theme Whole-of-Nation, Whole-of-Government for Senior Citizens of the Philippines, the Constitution and Convention of the National Advisory Body rolled off here at the Sunshine Place in Bel Air, Makati City.
Atty. Franklin Quijano, Chairman of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) broke the ice with a short talk about the brief history of NCSC including its plans and programs.
Quijano, who also acted as the overall facilitator of the program, led the orientation of the Open Space Technology (OST) which was utilized in the group discussion and mini workshop.
The stakeholders consisting of inter-agency representatives presented their topics and ideas to serve the senior citizens’ welfare and benefits.
The collective suggestions and recommendations will be deliberated and approved as a resolution by the stakeholders later in the day.
The data collected from these discussions will be gathered, collected and stored for future reference or/and as the need arises. Present at the day-long event were NCSC Commissioners Reymar Mansilungan, Ida Yap-Patron, Edwin Espejo and Rainier Cruz. Other participants include are Asec. Randolph Poscasio of the Dep’t of Justice, Michael Villada of DOST, Shirley Vasquez of the Dep’t of Tourism, Dr. Kadil Sinolinding of BARMM, Ma. Cecilia Vergara of HUDCC, Larry Caminero of PCL, Joy Villacorta of SSS, Rubie Jane Baguio of PRA, Maria Elena Adora of BFAR and Philippine Statistics Authority’s Atty. Eliezer Ambatali.
