Bold, authentic, and aspirational – that’s what Finix is all about.
FINIX is a seven-member P-Pop girl group under GKD Records, composed of Aki, Tris, Minhea, Zia, R-Lo, Cole, and Rikka. GKD Records is a US-based independent music label with deep operational roots in the Philippines. This up-and-coming P-Pop girl group, already making waves as one of the most promising acts in P-Pop, was officially launched on August 6 in Quezon City.
“This isn’t just a launch, it’s a look at what’s coming,” said Aki, FINIX’s leader. “We’re still in training, still growing, still dreaming. But we know what we carry, and we know where we’re going.”
The members were discovered through a series of auditions including Finding Finix – a survival-style program designed to surface not just talent, but purpose.
Their name is inspired by the phoenix, a mythical creature symbolizing rebirth, resilience, and empowerment. It also stands as a powerful emblem of hope, transformation, overcoming adversity, and starting anew. Each member comes from a different journey, but they do share one mission: “To be the voice of the unheard.”
Their identity is rooted in being fearless, unapologetic, and authentic—on and off stage.
While talent is key, so is team chemistry. The members value not only individual skills—vocals, dance, performance—but also a strong, team-first mindset that drives their synergy as a group.
FINIX’s first pre-debut offering, the “Thirsty” EP, serves as both a musical introduction and a mission statement. The four-track project shows their range – from the upbeat synth-pop of “Thirsty,” to the cinematic drama of “Sumugal Sa Akin,” to the confident swagger of “Click Click Boom.” The EP concludes with the soaring anthem “Rise Again,” a tribute to resilience that echoes the group’s phoenix-inspired spirit.
In their first year alone, FINIX released 31 songs, garnered over 1.7 million streams across platforms, ranked Top 10 on Spotify, Top 6 on YouTube among P-Pop groups, and charted on four iTunes charts—including two #1s.
Their single “Thirsty” redefines a word often seen negatively. Through this track, FINIX flips the narrative—turning “thirsty” into a symbol of confidence, self-awareness, and unapologetic ambition. With unfiltered lyrics and an authentic voice, the song celebrates the power of owning your desires without shame. “Thirsty” becomes more than a label; it’s an anthem for those unafraid to want more—and go after it.
Fans are called “Embers”
Embers—glowing traces left behind by fire—symbolize potential, quiet strength, and the enduring presence of hope. They represent the spark that survives through darkness, capable of reigniting and bringing forth new beginnings after a period of stillness or struggle. This perfectly mirrors the spark that keeps Finix burning: a shared journey of rising from challenges and a mutual belief in growth, grit, and community.
Strengthening this connection is Hey Roomie – a fanbase platform that serves as a digital “home” for their growing audience. Through it, Embers can access exclusive content and behind-the-scenes drops, connect and grow with each other and the group, participate in polls, events, and monetization opportunities.
More than just a fan club, it’s a community engine fueled by interaction and insight.
