Chevrolet Cam Sur is now the newest Chevrolet dealership in the country under the HARI group and being operated by the Frontier Automotive Marilao Corporation (FAMC) of the Chiongbian Group.
The opening of Chevrolet Cam Sur is just the start for more breakthroughs for the Bowtie Brand in the years ahead. With the ceremonial unveiling of the dealership glass marker, HARI and Chevrolet Cam Sur pledge to bring the Chevrolet legacy of excellence to today’s diverse markets.
The HARI Board, led by HARI vice chair, president and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, received a warm welcome and congratulations from prominent members of the province’s government and business sectors, led by mayor of the municipality of Pili Tomas O. Bongalonta.
Agudo thanked the Cam Sur leadership saying: “Our presence in Bicol will make Chevrolet’s global tagline, ‘Together, Let’s Drive,’ a reality. As the newest member of the local business community, we are ready to be your partner in driving the economy of Cam Sur and pursue the noble aspirations of the Bicol Region. We continue to live up to our legacy of excellence in new ways in order to respond to the needs of today’s diverse markets, without ever letting go of our founding vision, which is to get you to where you want to be in a fast, safe, and fun way.”
For his part, dealer principal William Chiongbian said that the expanding Chevrolet’s brand presence in Bicol is of strategic timing, given current and future infrastructure plans that will develop Cam Sur into one of the Philippines’ major growth centers for tourism and commerce. “Things are looking up for Cam Sur. So, right here and now, we can already begin to add more value, serving and delighting the mobility needs of the Oragons and of the diverse markets who are visiting and who will be visiting this beautiful province,” he said.
Cam Sur is a hub for adventure sports and eco-tourism in the Bicol region, which is already touted as the “Sports and Adventure Capital of the Philippines.” It is also the largest province of Bicol, contributing to around 33.4% of the region’s economy. Cam Sur is at the geographic center of the Bicol Peninsula. The existing Pan-Philippine Highway already connects it to the rest of Southern Luzon, while its secondary and tertiary arteries connect Metro Naga to the other important cities and municipalities in the province.
