In US and Canada, on with Kathryn Bernando and Alden Richards film showing

It’s Donald Trump’s win at the White House but whether he won or lost, the screening of ABS-CBN Studios and GMA Films’ “Hello Love, Again” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards pushes through in various theaters in the United States of America and Canada on November 15, 2024.

In the home front, however, an earlier showing of the film is slated on November 13, 2024 in theaters nationwide.

As early as now, Kathryn and Alden have been touring around the Philippines to promote their second team-up on the big screen.

As usual, mammoth crowds in big towns and key cities all over the country gathered whenever Bernardo and Richards were around.

In Iloilo City, alone, a stampede almost occurred when the popular couple started to show up onstage but the security was always on its toes for the safety not only of the stars but the audiences as well that really went gaga over the topnotch loveteam of the firmament.

There were songs and dances provided by Kathryn and Alden that naturally sent the crowd frenzied.

It was one hell of a live performance that reminded showbiz observers of the teeny bopping days of Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III in the 70s and 80s; of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion in the 90s; of Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual in the millennium.

This time, though, it’s a more reflective type of going gaga over idols, one that resonated on the vagaries of the young in the age of digital technology, a mirror-image of the youthfulness in Kath and Alden.

It is a genuine friendship that runs through Kath and Den. No gimmickry. No false hopes of an off-screen romance. An honest-to-goodness pair. Just plain appreciation of their loveteam.

The public isn’t deceived that KathDen is it.

The fans just want to live the life of each of the stars in the quotidian, sharing experiences, social and otherwise, with the actors playing roles on screen and nothing more.

The vicarious experience is transported overseas, especially to Filipinos in the diaspora who live and love, who laugh and cry, who thrive and decline etc., but in the end, still triumph, survive and learn lessons in life.

That is the power of KathDen in inspiring Filipinos. (Boy Villasanta)
