La Mesa Ecopark strengthens its role in championing “biodiverCity” or biodiversity in the city, environmental protection and water security as it recently hosted the La Mesa Ecopark its Executive Committee (ExeCom) meeting.
The La Mesa Ecopark ExeCom is composed of duly designated representatives from the Quezon City Government and Manila Water Company and chaired by the MWSS provides overall direction and guidance to Manila Water Foundation on the management, stewardship, and future development of one of the last few remaining green spaces in Metro Manila.
The Management Team shared updates highlighting strong milestones from the past two years, including welcoming 276,202 visitors, planting 20,872 native forest trees, and mobilizing 5,974 volunteers who contributed 41,140 hours toward conservation efforts.
The La Mesa Ecopark ExeCom also approved several proposals, including the implementation of a new ₱50 entrance fee for non-Quezon City residents. This is foreseen to further support the park’s operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Quezon City residents continue to enter for free upon presenting their Quezon City ID.
The park hosted ECO-Content Creators for an exclusive preview of the newly reopened Phase 2 facilities—such as the pavilions, lagoon, and Flower Hill—to promote its environmental mission and outdoor activities ahead of full public access.
