PNP relaunches Command Center with upgraded 911 response system

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has relaunched its Command Center at Camp Crame, Quezon City, equipping it with an advanced analytics system to boost emergency response through the nationwide 911 hotline.

PNP Command Center chief Col. Ramon Pranada said the upgrade strengthens the agency’s push for a three-to-five-minute response time by institutionalizing real-time monitoring and rapid situational analysis.

“The PCC reflects our commitment to a faster and more efficient, technology-driven police response, especially during emergencies and critical incidents,” he said.

Originally established under the initiative of PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, the facility now serves as a central hub capable of coordinating police units across all 18 regions of the country. It features a war room, advanced servers, and technical installations designed to ensure seamless communication from the command center down to ground operatives.

“This Command Center is more than just a facility—it represents our unwavering commitment to serve and protect the Filipino people,” Torre said. “With this platform, we can monitor developments on the ground in real time and respond with greater speed and accuracy. This is what modern policing looks like.”

The relaunch underscores the PNP’s modernization drive and its continuing effort to provide people-centered policing, operational excellence, and improved public safety services nationwide. TRACY CABRERA
