How does one feel when spending a holiday, breathing fresh air in the countryside after all the excruciating and stressful media works like shoots of films and TV dramas in imperial Manila only to be interrupted by a call that someone has to go back to the city because of an award to be given pronto?
It might be a mix of awe and disappointment, right?
But instead award-winning and gracious actress Pilar Pilapil rose above pettiness and bad vibes and was indeed proud and honored to be a recipient of one of the Most Outstanding Woman in 2023 from events organizer Richard Hinola II.
Didn’t you know that Pilar flew from Cebu City where she was on a respite from the hustle and bustle of Manila just to personally receive the award at Music Museum recently?
“I have to be true to my word to Richard that I would fly to Manila just to receive my trophy,” said La Pilapil on the night of the award proceedings.
Pilar came to the venue with socialite-friend Isidra Reyes.
Of course, La Pilapil was swarmed with fans, fellow awardees and other guests for photo-ops.
“Oh! I am thankful to people who still follow my career after all these years,” the beauty queen smiled.
