The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has suspended the acceptance of all mail and parcels bound for the United States starting Aug. 28, until further notice.
The move comes after the US suspended its duty-free de minimis exemption and enforced new customs requirements, prompting PHLPost to temporarily stop services to avoid inconvenience to customers.
In an advisory issued Sept. 2, PHLPost said customers who already lodged items for shipment to the US may request retrieval and refund in line with existing guidelines, subject to submission of required documents.
The suspension covers all postal items bound for the US that were accepted from Aug. 22, 2025 onward.
PHLPost assured the public that updates will be announced once services resume, and appealed for understanding and cooperation amid the policy changes.
