“We are deepening our commitment in the Philippines,” Daniel Ng, senior director of Cloudera APAC, said.
He added the telecommunications, banking and government services are among the identified sectors that big data collection, mmanagement and analytics will benefit from Cloudera products and services ranging from the new Kufu storage engine, the first to enable analytics on real-time data, and expanding into its most comprehensive products powered by the so-called “Hadoop ecoystem.”

Ng said that around 60 percent of the Cloudera workforce are computer engineers.
“We are in the forefront of helping customers on how to analyze data,” he said.
