Central Bank announces discount on interest rates

The  Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announces the Discount Window Facility (DWF) applicable interest rates effective Feb. 10.

The new rates  are as follows:

A. Peso

Loan Maturity/ Rate (%)

91 – 180 days — 7.0950

B. United States (US) dollar

91 – 180 days — 6.80280
181 – 360 days –.80280

C. Japanese yen

91 – 180 days — 2.61828
181 – 360 days –2.72625

The peso DWF interest rates are based on the BSP Overnight Lending Rate, while the US dollar and Japanese yen DWF interest rates are based on applicable benchmark rates.

The appropriate spread on DWF interest rates, as may be determined by the BSP, may change periodically to complement the changes in the BSP’s monetary policy goals and reflect movements in market interest rates.
