Retired Justice Stephen Caperiña Cruz was re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost).
Justice Cruz officially took his oath beforePostmaster General and CEO Luis D. Carlos and the Board of Directors last Feb. 4.
The oath-taking ceremony was also attended by the Board of Directors, including Ricardo R. Blancaflor, Noel V. Dacasin,and Ernesto O. Severino.
Corporate Secretary Atty. Wendell V. Dimaculangan was also appointed as a member of the Board of Directors, while Hon. Maura Baghari-Regis was reappointed to the same position last Jan. 28.
As Chairman, Justice Cruz is expected to continue his steadfast commitment to modernizing and improving the efficiency of postal services in the Philippines. Under his leadership, the corporation aims to enhance its digital transformation efforts, strengthen logistics and delivery services, and maintain its vital role in connecting Filipinos nationwide and beyond.
Postmaster General Carlos expressed his confidence in Cruz’s leadership, stating, “Justice Cruz’s experience and dedication are invaluable to the corporation. His leadership has been instrumental in driving PHLPost forward, and I look forward to working alongside him to ensure we provide efficient and modern postal services to the nation as we pursue good governance.”
