Lotto bettors are in for grand Christmas prizes, after the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) offers more than P1-B in combined winnings for lucky bettors.
This was announced recently by PCSO General Manager Mel Robles saying the Grand Lotto (6/55) and Ultra Lotto (6/58) games will have a guaranteed minimum grand prize of P500 Million.
The high-stakes games started last December 16 and were dubbed as “Handog Pakabog” Christmas draws.
“This is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal patrons. Starting Dec. 16, the Grand Lotto 6/55 and Ultra Lotto 6/58 will have a minimum jackpot guaranteed prize of P500 million each or more than P1 billion in combined prize,” Robles explained.
Despite the higher jackpot prizes, Robles added that the lotto tickets for the “Handog Pakabog” will remain at P20 each.
“Gusto talaga nating mabigyan ng maligaya at masaganang Pasko at Bagong Taon ang ating mga kababayan, Ang lahat po ng ating lotto games ay milyun-milyon ang ibinibigay na papremyo kaya mas malaki at mas marami ang tsansa ng ating mga tapat na mananaya na magwagi at sa ganoon ay makatulong tayo sa kanila,” he continued.
The Grand Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday; while the Ultra Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
For every draw without a winner, 22% of the sales for that day will be added to the prize pot.
Robles is encouraging everyone to place their bets and support lotto games, the sales of which would go to the agency’s charity fund. “
More sales would mean [a] bigger Charity Fund. That would allow the PCSO to help more Filipinos in need,” he explained.
“Christmas would be a nice time to help our kababayans. Bawat Taya, May Kawanggawa,” Robles said.
Meanwhile, the PCSO also announced the test run of its highly-anticipated web-based application betting platform known as E-Lotto.
The E-Lotto is a digital version of the traditional lottery games that aims to provide a safe, modern, and accessible gaming experience to the Filipino people.
During the trial run which will last for one year, players can already place bets online and also receive payments for their winnings electronically.
