PHLPost unveils judiciary milestone stamps

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has issued special commemorative stamps and an official first day cover to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, highlighting a key milestone in the country’s judicial history.

In a statement released Thursday, PHLPost said the commemorative stamps feature a design created by its in-house artist Jose Antonio Jayme, based on a concept developed by cultural worker, architectural historian, and archivist Rancho Arcilla of the Supreme Court Office of the Spokesperson.

The Supreme Court said the stamp release serves as a lasting tribute to its long-standing role in upholding justice and constitutional rights.

“The issue serves as a lasting symbol of the judiciary’s enduring role in safeguarding democracy, protecting constitutional rights, and upholding the principles that have guided the nation for generations,” the Court said.

The commemorative stamps and first day covers are now available to the public, including philatelists and history enthusiasts.

These items may be purchased at the Post Shop inside the Manila Central Post Office Compound in Liwasang Bonifacio, Ermita, as well as at the Supreme Court Gift Shop at the Main Building along Padre Faura Street, Manila.
