Alongside actress Lovi Poe’s transfer and signing of contract with ABS-CBN, actor Piolo Pascual renewed his ties with the network.
It’s been more than a year that Piolo was out of sight from the Kapamilya small and big screens and observers were indulged in a guessing game that he must be finally moving in to a new home after his short stint with TV5.
There were talks that GMA Network was negotiating with him but it was quickly nipped to the bud until Pascual was again quiet for some time.
Until his reappearance at the gates of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation last Wednesday noon to ink his renewed contract with the media giant and to walk the red carpet.
In an interview, PJ—Piolo’s pet name—said that he couldn’t leave his original home just like that. He added it is ABS-CBN where his life belongs.
Pascual also mentioned the honing of his skills and the nurturing of his dreams started with ABS-CBN.
More than that, his loyalty and compassion for a beleaguered media entity at these challenging times is with ABS-CBN.
“I don’t want to add insult to injury,” quipped PJ referring to the hard times the network is experiencing since the government refused to give it another twenty five years of congressional franchise thereby reducing its generation of revenue to sustain its service to the public.
In his return to his home studio, Piolo is slated to do a TV drama with Lovi and a sitcom with Angelica Panganiban.
