For actress Angelica Jones, her ma Beth Jones is the greatest person on earth
“Mama, you are the most wonderful mom in the world. I cannot deny you even for a second. It’s right that there are many men who would gravitate around me but there will always be just one mother we can call whenever we have problems,” said Angelica in Taglish (mix of Tagalog and English languages) while giving a tribute to Beth during the latter’s birthday bash at the Meugay Bar and Resto along Timog Avenue recently.
“Our mothers understand and forgive us when we commit mistakes. I am truly thankful to my mom for understanding and forgiving me for all my mistakes and bad decisions. Mother knows best indeed.
“Even when I was stubborn about love, she would call my attention but I would always defy her. It was my fault that I fell in love with a man whom I would later felt sorry about. But my mom would always understand me.
“Mama, thank you so much for not forsaking us through thick and thin esoecially during hard times. I remember when you were fighting for your dear life because of COVID-19. You had a 50-50 chance of survival. But you a good fight because you said that God loves us. Thank you for your love, Mama,” gushed the teary-eyed Angie who also made Beth emotional.
The elder Jones’ birthday shindig was a celebration, according to Angelica of her mom’s second lease in life.
Beth’s party was attended by the celebrator’s kith and kin, colleagues in shiwbiz like action star Rhene Imperial, director Perry de Guzman, singer Aileen Grace Papin, movue scribes Wil Provinio, Gary Sta. Anna, Joey Sarmiento, Benny Andaya, Obette Serfano, Linda Cabuhayan, Erlinda Rapadas T., among others.
