JAS Design & Build Development is a young but professionally maintained company that is committed to deliver exceptional projects that improve lives and create lasting value.
Although formed only three years ago, the company was formed by three long-time friends with a dream now popularly known in the construction industry for its innovation, quality and sustainability.

Alvin Lim Lu, company president, said it took just a simple dinner with his two other close friends – Jean Henri Lhuillier and Alexander Ocampo – to create JAS Design and Build to be formed in an instant.
“We wanted to create spaces that inspire and improve lives, but life took us in different directions with different careers. When Sandy and I left our respective jobs, the three of us got together for dinner and talked about the dream we once had. That night, we decided to finally make it happen and the company was started,” Alvin said.
And it happened so fast. After only two years in the industry, JAS Design has grown, delivering exceptional projects in hospitality and resort construction. Beyond construction, it also offers design, build, consultancy, and land assessment to ensure precision and efficiency in every project and they are open and adaptive to new smart materials, sustainable solutions, and innovative construction technology.
“We’re proud of what we’ve built. For us, it’s never just about building structures. It’s about creating spaces where people can live, work, and connect. Every project is a reflection of our love for design, teamwork, and purpose. And we’ve stayed true to our mission of making quality housing accessible.”
Through their affordable housing initiative, priced at just P25,000 to P29,000 per square meter, JAS brings thoughtful design and cost efficiency together. “We believe that financial accountability is the cornerstone of trust and success. Every peso we manage is a reflection of the hard work and dreams of our clients, partners, and team. That’s why we remain committed to transparent budgeting, efficient resource allocation, and delivering value without compromise. Our mission is not just to build structures but to build confidence through financial integrity. Whether it’s affordable housing or luxury resorts, we remain committed to ethical and accountable practices,” Alvin explained.
JAS Design now has several simultaneous projects in Coron, El Nido, Nasugbu, Batangas, Camiguin and Dumaguete. Many of them are near completion and ready to open in a few months.
Uno Maya in Nasugbu, Batangas is a private retreat that balances comfort, functionality and a connection with nature. Uno Maya celebrates its modern designs such as open layouts that invite nature inside and integrates sustainable elements, such as natural ventilation systems and energy-efficient lighting, to enhance both comfort and eco-friendliness.
Uno Maya is a retreat with sustainability at its core, utilizing materials that prioritize both durability and environmental responsibility. The structure features thermoblocks, providing superior insulation for energy efficiency, while WPC or wood-plastic composite outdoor panels offer the warmth of natural wood with the resilience of modern engineering. These materials not only enhance the home’s aesthetic but also contribute to a long-lasting, eco-conscious retreat.

The UNWND Convention Hall in Calatagan, Batangas, was finished in time after seven months of planning and construction. It is now considered a premier venue designed for gatherings, weddings, team buildings and corporate events.
Designed to accommodate up to 60 to 80 guests, the UNWND Convention Hall is a versatile space, ideal for corporate conferences, private functions, and intimate gatherings. With its open layout and carefully curated details, it provides an atmosphere that’s both professional and inviting.
There are many more projects in line for JAS Design and Build Development but Alvin said the company is careful in prioritizing its choice of clients and projects. “Trust is the foundation of everything we do. We understand that every project represents our client’s vision, investment, and dreams. That’s why we prioritize open communication, transparent processes, and delivering on our promises,” Alvin said.
He further added that: “My goal is to lead the company known for innovation, quality, and sustainability. By using a greener approach—sustainable and smart materials—we ensure our projects are eco-friendly, innovative, and, most importantly, completed on time. Our team is dedicated to pursue the boundaries of construction and design, always striving for excellence in every project we take on. We are committed to building not just structures but lasting relationships too. Our clients’ trust is what inspires us to exceed expectations and create spaces that truly matter.”
But Alvin doesn’t give all the credit to himself alone. “Our Chairman Jean Henri is really a visionary and very supportive in all company decisions which is one factor why the company is successful. And of course, with the support of my chief finance officer Sandy Ocampo, all our projects were finished on time and without delay. Sandy really takes care of our company finances!”
