HOUSE OF FINANCIAL
FREEDOM
By Chinkee Tan

Hi, there! I’m Chinkee Tan.

For over 15 years, I’ve been helping Filipinos get out of debt, manage money wisely, and build a better future.

If you’re new here, welcome! This is our first issue, and we’re starting strong.

Let’s talk about something real:

Financial stress.

You know that feeling?

You lie awake at night.

You keep checking your wallet, hoping money magically appears.

You get anxious every time you hear the word “due date.”

That’s financial stress and yes, you’re not alone.

It’s normal to feel pressure when:

  • Your income is not enough
  • Your expenses keep piling up
  • You have no clear money plan

And this stress doesn’t just affect your wallet.

It affects your mood.

Your relationships.

Even your health.

But, here’s what I want you to know:

Financial stress is not permanent.

It’s a symptom of a deeper problem.

When your car has a red light flashing, what do you do? You stop and check it. Same with your finances. Don’t ignore the warning signs.

So what can you do?

Start simple.

     1.  List your income and expenses. You can’t fix what you don’t see.

     2.  Cut back where you can. Small leaks sink big ships.

     3.  Look for extra income. Even part-time work or online gigs help.

     4.  Create a simple budget. Control where your money goes.

     5.  Learn. Read, watch, ask. The more you learn, the less you fear.

It doesn’t matter if you’re earning ₱10,000 or ₱100,000 a month.

What matters is how you manage it.

Don’t wait for a “better time.”

The best time to start fixing your finances is now.

Yes, right now.

Reading this is your first step and I’m proud of you.

I’ll help you take it one step at a time.

Let’s beat financial stress together.

This is just the beginning.

More tips, more stories, and more hope coming your way.

Let’s go!
