Jericho Rosales, Janine Gutierrez paint African town red on his b-day

Excusing himself for a while from the promotional campaign of the biopic “Quezon,” Jericho Rosales recently flew to Africa to celebrate his birthday.

It was a colorful and memorable trip for Jericho because he’s not only back in Africa for the third time to relish his palatable b-day prep-up and eventual ceremony but he was with the most exciting person in his life these days.

In Tanzania, Echo painted the town red with his girlfriend Janine Gutierrez.

“So so happy to share this experience with Janine Gutierrez! Thanks for being sneaky,” quipped Rosales on his Instagram posts.

​Wonder how loving and intimate Echo and Janine were on their travel to the land of safaris and home to Mount Kilimanjaro.

It was indeed a romantic getaway for the special couple whom people say “kulang na lang ang kasal (what’s only lacking is marriage).”

Is it high time really to settle down with Janine who is already an accomplished artist and Jericho a mature guy at this point in time?

Are they really meant for each other?

Will they be altar-bound?

Or is it just one of those fleeting twosomes?

Although Echo’s marital union with artist Kim Jones has been publicly announced as separated, they are not yet annulled.

Would this be a hindrance to the lovey-dovey status of Rosales and Gutierrez?

At the moment, Janine and Jericho are back in town to work in their respective projects.

Echo is very busy touring around the country to sell his titular film on the President of the Philippine Commonwealth.

According to an insider, the manner of the adprom (advertising and promotion) in selling the product as a film bio is likened to an “election campaign” where Jericho and the rest of the production are going “mall-to mall” or “house-to-house” visit.

Aside from Jericho, “Quezon” also features great actors like Benjamin Alves, Romnick Sarmenta, Mon Confiado who tackles the role of Emilio Aguinaldo, Karylle who portrays Aurora Aragon Quezon, among other competent stars.

“Quezon” hits the screens nationwide on October 18, 2025.

Meanwhile, Echo thanked Access Travel Philippines for arranging the trip.
