Security Bank has received Three Golden Arrows from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), recognizing its corporate governance practices and commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible management.
The recognition was conferred during the Golden Arrow Awards 2026 held on October 23 at the Makati Shangri-La.
Security Bank Chairman Cirilo Noel said the award underscores the bank’s responsibility to maintain public confidence through sound management and oversight.
“People trust us with their money and their financial futures. We have a responsibility to earn that confidence through the way we run the Bank,” Noel said. “This recognition reflects our continued commitment to sound oversight, responsible decisions, and accountability.”
The Golden Arrow Awards are based on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), which assesses publicly disclosed governance practices across several areas, including shareholder rights, transparency, sustainability and resilience, stakeholder relations, and board accountability.
Security Bank said these governance standards are important not only to regulators but also to customers and investors, as they help demonstrate how the institution manages risks, makes decisions and remains accountable to its stakeholders.
For customers, sound governance reinforces confidence in the bank’s management of their savings and financial needs. For investors, it provides a basis for assessing transparency, governance discipline and the institution’s capacity to create long-term value.
