Changan C555 Plus surprises

THE New CS55 Plus, Changan Auto’s recent addition to its model lineup, revealed its advanced tech features that lets you explore your wild side. 

Expect quiet, clean, and fuel-efficient power from the 1.5-liter Blue Core turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDi) that delivers 188ps at 5,500rpm and up to 300Nm of torque at 1,500~4000rpm. This next-generation Blue Core engine puts into play three key fuel efficiency technologies — 350 bar high-pressure direct injection, industry-leading low friction technology, and advanced thermal management system — to make sure you maximize your fuel to the last drop. 

Up front, the futuristic cockpit is designed for relaxed but focused driving. All controls are within easy reach. The compact steering wheel houses the buttons for the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and infotainment systems while the well-laid-out dual screen integrates the 10.25-inch LCD digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch touch display infotainment system. Voice Control has you operating the windows, sunroof, air conditioning, infotainment, and in-call system, hands-free! The stylish panoramic sunroof automatically shuts when accidentally left open or when it senses a downpour, thanks to the Rain-Sensing function. 

The Automatic Emergency Brake (AEB) System* helps you assess the likeliness of hitting a car or a pedestrian in front. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) * complements the AEB by detecting slow-moving cars or large barriers in front and alerts the driver of a possible collision.

The Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) with Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)** is equipped with a Stop and Go function that lets your vehicle run safely at your preferred speed while automatically adjusting to the speed or movement of the vehicle ahead, which is especially helpful during heavy traffic. 

Overall, the CS55 Plus cuts a striking figure on the road for its Euro “Ring” design. It is a car that is meant “to be seen.” But it does an even better job “seeing”—that is, looking after your safety and that of other road users. Take its lights system. Sleek daytime running lights (DRL) complement the overall look and, more importantly, cover a longer distance to help you see better when it gets dark. The Intelligent High Beam Assist** automatically switches from high to low beam, sparing oncoming vehicles from nasty glare. And the Follow-Me-Home Delay feature keeps the headlights on for a few seconds while the vehicle is parked to help you see your way to your front door.
