Vilma in the US; Nora in Siquijor and the gathering of senior celebs

Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos recently flew to Los Angeles, California with husband Congressman Ralph Recto and sin Ryan Christian.

Vilma was also with her older sister Emilyn from the Philippines.

It was a family bonding time with Vi’s sisters in the US, namely Maritess and Winnie!

Oh! No sooner said, the Santos sisters embarked on a fun Tik Tok dance.

Santos and Batangas Rep Recto were picture perfect of a couple abroad away from the madding crowd.

Meanwhile, Vi’s archrival Superstar Nora Aunor is set to fly to Siquijor Island in Negros Oriental to film a genre form out of the intriguing and captivating locale of Siquijor.

The title of Nora’s film is simply “Mananambal,” a foray into the mystery of the unknown in the island.

The project is directed by Philip Daffon.

As a sidebar, entertainment writer Dave Rojo asked us why the likes of Nora and Vilma are not in the Balik-Samahan, a group organized by socialite Pempe Rodrigo composed of veteran actors who regularly gather to strengthen camaraderie and social connections.

Balik-Samahan was very active before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic when Amalia Fuentes, Susan Roces. Minda Morena and Liberty Ilagan were still alive.

It took a respite during the health emergency.

However, the group reactivated its gathering recently when Fil-Am civic conscious entrepreneur Ronnie Pestrana along with Pempe hosted another milestone of cohering veteran screen luminaries to brighten up the already eased up health emergency.

More veteran stars were around like Divina Valencia, Perla Bautista, Tess Villarama, Nova Villa, Barbara Perez, Marita Zobel, Boots Anson Roa, Pilita Corrales, Daria Ramirez, Pepito Rodriguez, Liza Lorena, Roger Calvin and the not so veteran Rez Cortez, Ricky Davao, Deborah Sun and Nikka Valencia. BOY VILLASANTA
