President Marcos gives update on Butuan-Agusan Highway

The Butuan City-Agusan del Norte Logistical Highway which will serve as the bridge between the agricultural and economic zones and industrial zones has already started. 

No less than President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr made the announcement during his visit to the CARAGA region to distribute various government assistance to fisherfolk farmers, and indigent families. last week. 

In his speech,President Marcos said the bypass road connecting Mayor Democrito Plaza II Avenue and Daang Maharlika is now 71 percent finished. 

In a separate distribution event in Surigao del Sur, Marcos said key infrastructure projects in the province were also halfway done. 

The projects include the Cabadbaran- Putting Bato-Lanuza Road, the East-West Lateral Road, and the rehabilitation of the Tandag Airport. 

Marcos also visited and distributed cash and other government assistance to the provinces of Leyte to help farmers and fisherfolks affected by the El Nino phenomenon. 

The Chief Executive handed over P40 million in aid to the local governments of Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Biliran on top of the P10,000 cash to selected beneficiaries in the areas. 

He also reported on the status of the ongoing infrastructure projects in Leyte, including the P2.5 billion rehabilitation of Tacloban airport. 

“Baka next year pwede na nating i-inaguarate yung terminal,” said Marcos, referring to the Tacloban airport.
