The Manila International Auto Show 2026 opened its 4-day show with the hottest trend in the country today – the electric vehicles – being highlighted by the various participating car brands at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC).
The first day of the MIAS attracted a big crowd from morning to evening as it embraces the theme “Powering Mobility,” underscoring its commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the automotive sector and reflects the show’s vision of advancing mobility through cutting-edge technologies and meaningful collaboration with leading world-class automotive brands, elevating the industry to new heights.
The opening ceremony was attended by various personalities led by Joseph L. Ang, the founding chairman of Worldbex Services International who delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the resilience of the automotive industry amid ongoing challenges and its continued drive toward progress. “MIAS will highlight new energy vehicles, sustainable transport solutions, EV infrastructure, and commercial mobility innovations,” Ang said.
Other distinguished guests from across the automotive and business sectors, were also present and they were: Dexter Lloyd Cuajotor, vice president for BPI Retail Lending and Bancassurance; Augustus “Joe” D. Ferreria, president of the Automobile Association Philippines; Pasay City councilor Luigi Calixto; Markus V. Lacanilao, chief of the Land Transportation Office; and Department of Trade and Industry Usec. Ceferino “Perry” S. Rodolfo.
The country’s largest and most influential automotive event also gathered enthusiasts, industry leaders, and innovators for four days of exciting vehicle launches, interactive exhibits, and immersive experiences. With over 500 car displays and 25 participating car brands from across all venues, visitors can explore an extensive lineup of vehicle displays and witness the latest advancements shaping the future of mobility. The 21st edition of MIAS runs until April 12 and is proudly organized by Worldbex Services International in support of the ABS-CBN Foundation.
