Rave reviews of one of the most talked about films coming out of the latest installment of the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival have been matched by the festival’s official awards giving body. At the Puregold CinePanalo’s annual awards, “Multwoh” came away with four awards: Always Panalo award, Panalo sa Manonood, Panalo sa Production Design, and Panalo sa Brand Intrusion.
Philbert Dy, a member of the festival’s awards jury, as well as a noted film critic, wrote fondly about “Multwoh”:
“It’s pretty funny, enough room to breathe,” wrote de Jesus. “The film has depth without needing to perform depth. It is funny, affectionate, visually thoughtful, proudly queer, and considerably more intricate than it initially appears.”
Recognition for the cast came as well. Leading stars Sassa Gurl and Joao Constancia both received acting but
“Its queer perspective remains specific without becoming inaccessible, while the craft gives all those ideas nominations for their performances in the film. Reviewer Rod Magaru wrote glowingly of both.
