Liza Soberano

Liza Soberano to act in her first Hollywood film

Naysayers against Liza Soberano must be put to shame when the camera rolls for her in a Hollywood film.

Many were not seeing a bright future for the Filipino actress who rose to fame in ABS-CBN in Hollywood.

As early as we write, Soberano is proving them wrong.

Even if it is a small project which involves Fil-Ams, still it is within the Hollywood mold.

Imagine Liza being casted in a movie with Hollywood star, Brandon Perea, who made a dent in 2016 in the popular American series, “The OA.”

According to an entry at IMDb, a database on film and other related audio-visual projects, Soberano plays a journalism student who will report on the country’s war on drugs.

“Patron Saints of Nothing” is a novel about identity, family and justice by Fil-American writer Randy Ribay which is being adapted to the big screen by Fil-Am filmmaker Dianne Paragas (“Yellow Rose,” 2019).

Brandon plays Jay Requero, a teenager who has experienced the devastation of racial hegemony in the US. BOY VILLASANTA
