Mr. Marc Tomas, former President, Ikebana International Manila Chapter 108 and member of Sogetsu Potential Manila Chapter will once again share his expertise on the Ikebana-Sogetsu Japanese flower arrangement in a four-session workshop for beginners at Sunshine Place.
He has been teaching Ikebana classes at Sunshine Place since 2017 and his students have participated in several exhibits that showcase their creativity.
In this introduction to Ikebana workshop, participants will learn the basics of Japanese art of flower arrangement- upright Moribana style,basic slanting & Variation # 4 with movements, basic Nagiri style and combination of Moribana & Nagiri arrangements.
Participants are encouraged to bring their gardening scissors. Start kits that include flowers for the four sessions, kenzan and a vertical and horizontal base are available at the venue.
The workshop will be conducted every Thursday, May 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. Slots are limited for the face-to-face lecture-demonstration.
