SM Foundation turned over 1,500 bottles of Lysol liquid soap to the Balatong Elementary School in Pulian, Bulacan. SM Foundation School Building Program Head Ms. Juris Soliman represented the Foundation at the simple turnover ceremony.

In 2018 SM Prime Holdings, Inc. through SM Foundation donated a two-storey, four classroom building to Balatong Elementary School. Earlier this year, SM Foundation conducted maintenance and repair works on the school building as part of the Foundation’s commitment. The donated school building is equipped with a handwashing facility in support with the UN SDG on health and sanitation.

Bottles of liquid soap are also being distributed in barangay health centers renovated by SM Foundation, as well as at the SM Medical Missions.
The liquid soap was donated by Kabisig ng Kalahi, Inc. a nongovernment organization founded by Ms. Victoria V. Wieneke. Its mission is “to establish programs that are doable, sustainable, and result-oriented, targeting solutions focused on poverty issues.” As posted in its website Kabisig is guided with the multi-sectoral approach. Partnership is forged with the private and corporate sector, business and civic organizations, government agencies, other non-government organizations, and poor communities.
